Dr. Joe Spinazzola is the owner and a general practitioner at Animal Hospital at Sayreville.

Born and raised in East Brunswick, Dr. Spinazzola attended Bloomsberg University and graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After working several years, he decided to attend veterinary school and was admitted to Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2000, Dr. Spinazzola was awarded his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

After working for several years as an associate veterinarian, Dr. Spinazzola decided to return home to New Jersey and establish a practice of his own. In 2006 he purchased the Animal Hospital of Sayreville, an outstanding full-service veterinary hospital.

When asked what motivates him at work every day, Dr. Spinazzola said, "Having great relationships with the staff, clients and patients, and applying my skills and resources to care for my patients and enabling them to live long and healthy lives."

Dr. Spinazzola has numerous professional interests, including dermatology, surgery and dentistry. He is a member of the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Spinazzola spends his time with his wife Necole, who is the office administrator here at Sayreville, and his daughters Gianni and Samantha. Dr. Spinazzola and his family care for a dog named Charlette and a cat named Emme. He also enjoys riding motorcycles and attending weekend exotic car shows.

Dr. Melissa Beck joined the Animal Hospital of Sayreville in April 2015 after years practicing in the Manalapan area. Her professional interests include feline and canine medicine and diabetes and other endocrine diseases.

Dr. Beck has been a New Jersey resident her entire life, except for her time spent in school. She attended Goucher College and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Dr. Beck then attended Oklahoma State University, where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2001.

In her time off, Dr. Beck enjoys spending time with her furry and feathered family which includes four cats, five chickens, three goats, and a guinea pig named Stumpy. She also enjoys running, cycling, weight training, baking and spending time with her two sons.
